Description
Ideal for Recessed LED Strip Lighting
This aluminium profile is designed for use with compatible V-TAC LED strip lights, creating a clean and professionally finished recessed lighting installation. The recessed design allows the profile to sit neatly within suitable ceilings, walls, furniture, cabinets and joinery.
Combining compatible LED tape with an aluminium channel and milky diffuser helps create a softer and more refined lighting effect suitable for architectural, decorative and task-lighting applications.
The profile measures approximately 61.5mm wide × 14mm high and is supplied in individual 2 metre lengths. As the internal channel width is not specified in the product datasheet, please check that the width of your chosen LED tape, soldered connections and connectors will fit inside the channel before installation.

Installation Guidance
- Measure the installation area and calculate the number of 2 metre profile lengths required.
- Confirm that the chosen V-TAC LED strip, solder joints and any connectors will fit inside the profile before ordering, as the internal channel width is not specified in the product datasheet
- Prepare a suitable recessed channel in the installation surface, ensuring it matches the profile dimensions and provides a secure, level fit.
- Cut the aluminium profile and milky diffuser to the required size using suitable tools.
- Secure the aluminium channel inside a clean, structurally suitable recessed opening using an appropriate installation method.
- Clean the inside of the profile before applying the self-adhesive LED strip.
- Install the LED strip evenly without twisting, overlapping or sharply bending the tape.
- Connect the LED strip to a correctly rated compatible power supply and controller where required.

What are the profile dimensions?
Each profile is approximately 2000mm long, 61.5mm wide and 14mm high.
What width LED tape will fit inside the profile?

What is included with each aluminium profile?

Is this suitable for COB LED strip?
Yes. The profile is designed for use with compatible V-TAC LED strip lights, subject to the tape width and installation dimensions.
Does the milky diffuser remove visible LED dots?
The finished result depends on the LED density, profile depth and distance between the LEDs and diffuser. Higher-density LED tape generally provides a smoother and more continuous line of light.
Does aluminium help cool the LED strip?
Aluminium can help transfer heat away from the LED tape. A correctly rated LED strip, suitable power supply and proper installation are still essential.
Can the profiles be installed end-to-end?
Yes. Multiple 2 metre profiles can be carefully aligned end-to-end for longer lighting runs and larger projects.
