What Is CCT COB LED Strip?

CCT stands for correlated colour temperature. A CCT LED strip contains warm-white and cool-white light sources that can be blended using a compatible controller. This allows the user to adjust the white-light appearance across the available colour-temperature range.

This product requires a compatible 24V constant-voltage LED driver and a suitable CCT LED controller. The controller allows adjustment between warm white and cool white and may also provide dimming, depending on the selected control system.

The LED driver must be correctly rated for the total wattage of the installed tape. At the maximum stated consumption of 20W per metre:

• 1m requires up to approximately 20W
• 5m requires up to approximately 100W
• 10m requires up to approximately 200W
• 20m requires up to approximately 400W

We recommend allowing additional driver capacity rather than operating a power supply continuously at its maximum rated output. The final load can also depend on the selected colour-temperature setting, controller and installation configuration.

Longer LED-strip runs may require power to be supplied at more than one point to reduce voltage drop and maintain consistent brightness and colour temperature. Large installations may need to be divided into separate powered sections.

Electrical connections should be completed using compatible 10mm CCT COB strip connectors or correctly soldered cable joints. Always verify the tape width, connection arrangement, polarity, controller capacity and accessory compatibility before installation.

Only cut the LED tape at the clearly marked cutting points. Cutting anywhere else may damage the circuit and prevent part of the strip from operating correctly.
